A statement from Sakura Wars series director Takaharu Terada was also revealed, which reads:

It’s been 19 years since I had a conversation with Mr. Takanobu because we share a similar name. Since then, I’ve always envisioned and dreamed of having Sakura Wars in Super Robot Wars, and I’m thrilled that my dream has finally come true with Super Robot Wars 30. The robots that have appeared in Super Robot Wars, such as the Kobu and STAR, are small robots, but they possess the same level of combat power, fervor, and somewhat bizarre attacks as Mazinger and Gundam Master. I hope you’ll be able to use them as part of your team when you play!

In addition to Sakura Wars, units from Super Electromagnetic Machine Voltes V, Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack Beltorchika’s Children, and the Super Robot Wars OG series will also be added in the pack.

The first DLC pack for Super Robot Wars 30 will launch in November 2021. A price has yet to be confirmed for the pack. Super Robot Wars 30 will launch on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and Sony PlayStation 4 in Japan on October 28, 2021. The title will receive a global PC release via Steam, and has been rated T by the ESRB.
