On April 16, the official Sakura Revolution website announced that the game’s fourth chapter will launch in late April 2021. The chapter, titled “The Ruler of the Stars”, will see the rolling katamari of friends that is the new Imperial Combat Revue venturing into Japan’s Kinki region.

In the build-up to the event, the game will host the “Kinki Advance Campaign”, an in-game event that will offer gameplay bonuses to players, in addition to daily missions with unique rewards. During the campaign, experience from missions will see a 1.2x multiplier, and a 50% reduction in AP costs for all Main Quest, Subquest, and Free Quest missions.

The Kinki Advance Campaign will run through April 28, 2021.

Hijikata Benishi Scouting Survey

A special gacha banner event, the “Benishi Hijikata Scouting Survey”, will run alongside the event, from April 16 – 22. The banner, increases the odds of acquiring Hijikata’s alternate dresses, and will guarantee a dress drop (or ★4 Spirit Amulet) in a ten-pull.

Benishi Hijikata “Beauty” Spiricle Dresss

Though it won’t be included in the current banner event, a new Spiricle Dress for Benishi Hijikata, the “Beauty” attire, will be added to the game at a later date. The outfit boasts a max HP of 14,244, and a max attack of 11,335. A trailer was revealed to announce the unit, which you can check out below:

About Sakura Revolution

Sakura Revolution was originally announced via two dueling projects: Sega’s Project B.L.A.C.K. and Delightworks’ Nippon Dakkan, before both were revealed to be one and the same during a live streaming event on September 2, 2020.

Chapter 3 officially debuted on January 12, 2021.

Analytics service App Annie reports that the game was the #2 most downloaded title in Japan’s iOS App Store and the top downloaded game on the Google Play store for December 2020.

On December 22, 2020, Sega Sammy announced that the title had reached 500,000 downloads. On January 21, 2021, Sega announced that the title crossed one million downloads. On February 22, 2021, Sega announced that Sakura Revolution officially crossed 1.5 million downloads.
