On March 10, Sega hosted a live streaming event on the official Sakura Revolution: Maidens In Bloom’s (Sakura Kakumei: Hanasaku Otome-tachi) YouTube channel. During the show, the publisher announced that they will launch a new story event, Ouka Ranran: Himeka Tenjin Juban Game. The event is slated from March 10 through March 23, at 12:59 JST (3/23/2021 at 11:59 EST / 8:59 PST).

Plot

Sega describes the event as:

At Himeka Tenjin’s request, the maidens of the Flower Divisions from Kyushu, Chugoku, and Shikoku, as well as the Cosmos Division come together to view the cherry blossoms. However, it was really an invitation to a martial arts competition that’s been held by the Tenjin family for generations!

Let’s aim for victory in Hanami’s competition!

Victory Points

Upon completing each quest in the event, players will Victory Points. Rewards will be given at specific tiers. The notable giveaway of the tier-based giveaway is the five-star Spirit Emblem Princess Holiday.

Sakura Revolution Spirit Emblem: Romantic Holiday - features Tenjin Himeka sitting at a breakfast table laden with treats as she sips tea.

Players will be able to earn up to eight of these emblems, with one being given out at each threshold:

  • 2,000 Points
  • 8,000 Points
  • 35,000 Points
  • 95,000 Points
  • 140,000 Points
  • 300,000 Points
  • 400,000 Points
  • 500,000 Points

Collectables

In addition to players will be able to earn collectible items: Hanami Dango, Hanami Bento, and Sakura-brand Tea. These can be exchanged for various upgrade materials and Spirit Emblems. In addition, players will be able to trade collectibles for event exclusive, five-star Spirit Emblem Inherited Feelings.

About Sakura Revolution

Sakura Revolution was originally announced via two dueling projects: Sega’s Project B.L.A.C.K. and Delightworks’ Nippon Dakkan, before both were revealed to be one and the same during a live streaming event on September 2, 2020.

Chapter 3 officially debuted on January 12, 2021.

Analytics service App Annie reports that the game was the #2 most downloaded title in Japan’s iOS App Store and the top downloaded game on the Google Play store for December 2020.

On December 22, 2020, Sega Sammy announced that the title had reached 500,000 downloads. On January 21, 2021, Sega announced that the title crossed one million downloads. On February 22, 2021, Sega announced that Sakura Revolution officially crossed 1.5 million downloads.
