On January 23, Sega announced that Sakura Revolution: Maidens In Bloom’s (Sakura Kakumei: Hanasaku Otome-tachi) second major in-game event. The event, titled “Space Maiden and the Sea of Stars” (Chū no Otome to Hoshi no Umi), will launch on January 26, 2021. The publisher revealed a visual, a trailer, and a brief synopsis of the plot, which we break down below.

Plot

“Space Maiden and the Sea of Stars” will take place during the events of the first main chapter. As the Imperial Combat Revue makes their way for Kagoshima and Tanegashima to respond to distress calls, they spy a runaway soldier who is stealing scrap metal. Together with Soka Hoshihara and others who requested relief, the rolling Katamari of Combat Revue members must bring peace back to the land.

About Sakura Revolution

Sakura Revolution launched on December 15. On December 22, Sega Sammy announced that the title had reached 500,000 downloads. The title is a mobile RPG that’s being developed by DelightWorks (Fate/Grand Order). Chapter 3 officially debuted on January 12, 2021.

Analytics service App Annie reports that the game was the #2 most downloaded title in Japan’s iOS App Store and the top downloaded game on the Google Play store for December 2020.

About Sakura Revolution

Sakura Revolution was originally announced via two dueling projects: Sega’s Project B.L.A.C.K. and Delightworks’ Nippon Dakkan, before both were revealed to be one and the same during a live streaming event on September 2, 2020.

On December 22, Sega Sammy announced that the title had reached 500,000 downloads.
