On February 18, Funimation announced that they will release Sakura Wars the Animation on Blu-Ray. The publisher will ship the title on May 18 with a suggested retail price of $64.98 USD.

The set, which includes a digital copy, will feature both the English and Japanese versions of the show.

Funimation describes Sakura Wars as:

A young girl is rescued from an airship disaster in Moscow. Unable to recall her past, she is left under the care of the Flower Division, a group of powerful performers. But as soon as their spirits get in sync, a strange ship arrives to stop the show!

The publisher showed off the front and back cover art for the release, as well as the disc art.

About Sakura Wars the Animation

Sakura Wars the Animation aired in the Spring 2020 broadcast season.

Manabu Ono (Sword Art Online: Alicization, Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere) directed the project at Sanzigen and co-wrote the scripts with Tatsuhiko Urahata (Hi-Score Girl, GATE). Sakura Wars composer Kōhei Tanaka scored the show’s soundtrack.

Oji Hiroi and Sega are credited with the original concept.
