On September 2, watchmaker Seiko opened a website to announce that they are producing a watch to commemorate Sakura Wars‘ 25th anniversary. The watch, which is being produced under Seiko’s Premico line, is limited to 2,500 units. The timepiece will carry a suggested price of 49,800 yen ($453.73 USD)when it ships to stores at the end of October.

A black-haired woman in a pink kimono and red hakama stands, sword at the ready, beside a wristwatch.

The watch face will feature a pink face, emblazoned with the Imperial Combat Revue logo in the center. The left side of the face features a green-and-red array designed after the Kobu’s optical unit. The right side features a calendar that tracks day and day of week. A gold cherry blossom is placed at the 12:00 mark, while a gear with an inset “25” is placed at the 5:00 mark. The second hand is designed after Sakura Shinguji’s Reiken Arataka sword.

The watch body is made of stainless steel, and available in mens’ sizes.

The watch is packaged in a custom case that is also a music box, which plays Geki! Teikoku Kagekidan.

The Sakura Wars franchise celebrates its twenty-fifth anniversary on September 27.
