This morning, Sega hosted their Sakura Wars show as part of their Tokyo Game Show 2020 live streaming event. During the program, the publisher announced that the official soundtrack for Sakura Wars the Animation will ship to Japanese retailers on November 11, 2020. The two-disc set will include an unused version of insert song Birth of a Star (Star Tanjō), as well as several unused background music tracks and eyecatch melodies.

About Sakura Wars the Animation

Funimation streamed the series as it aired in United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. Streaming service Wakanim will offered the show in Europe.

Manabu Ono (Sword Art Online: Alicization, Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere) directed the project at Sanzigen and co-wrote the scripts with Tatsuhiko Urahata (Hi-Score Girl, GATE). Sakura Wars composer Kōhei Tanaka scored the soundtrack.

Ohji Hiroi and Sega were credited with the original concept.

Funimation describes Sakura Wars the Animation as:

Set in 1940, it’s been 10 years since the great demon invasions, and the World Luxury Operatic Federation has designed a tournament for all to participate in! So how will that work with another impending demonic war? We’ll just have to wait and find out!
